Well, its the end of another week and we have had a lot going on. We are very, very close to completing the entire 2nd level of balconies, but we ran into more issues with the gesso on the 3rd level and it seems like we are taking one step forward and two steps back. But we will keep pushing through, and despite the fact we have gotten a lot of attention this week. Moshe Safdie, the architect, made a visit midweek to view the progress of the building as well as our mural. Overall he is very pleased with what we have produced and our progress.
This week we had the chance to move up to the top level where the balcony ceilings are 12-15 ft. tall! It has been quite a challenge to move from our small design to the full scale of the wall with so much of it to cover. But we have done well so far and we are getting the hang out it. By the time this is done we will be pros!
We also we featured on the cover of a local magazine, the Commercial Journal; they have a feature story about the mural and KCAI's involvement in the community for the past 125 years. Tom Ryan from Present Magazine also visited us this week as he is continuing to follow our journey through the project.
